主要研究方向為淡水生態(tài)學(xué)和環(huán)境毒理學(xué)。主要研究內(nèi)容:湖泊富營養(yǎng)化機制、微囊藻毒素的毒理學(xué)(致毒與解毒機理、結(jié)合產(chǎn)物的分離、抽提、純化與定量分析技術(shù)等)及對水產(chǎn)品食用安全性的影響(抽提檢測技術(shù)、分布與動力學(xué)、食物網(wǎng)中的遷移與累積等)。

科研與教育成果
個人成果謝平博士現(xiàn)為中科院知識創(chuàng)新工程重要方向項目“典型湖泊與海灣富營養(yǎng)化機理及生態(tài)系統(tǒng)響應(yīng)的研究”及中科院知識創(chuàng)新工程重大項目“長江中下游地區(qū)湖泊富營養(yǎng)化發(fā)生及控制對策研究”的首席科學(xué)家。共發(fā)表SCI源刊論文200余篇,出版專著5部。發(fā)表的SCI論文被SCI論文引用近1400次,h指數(shù)19。所發(fā)表的論文和專著被SCI論文他引1000余次。
獲獎情況1998年,入選中國科學(xué)院“百人計劃”;
1999年獲第九屆日本生態(tài)學(xué)琵琶湖獎Biwako Prize for Ecology(國際獎);
2003年,獲國家杰出青年基金《富營養(yǎng)型淺水湖泊藻類水華爆發(fā)及產(chǎn)毒機制的研究》資助;
2004年入選新世紀(jì)國家百千萬人才工程。
突出貢獻(xiàn)在劉建康院士的指導(dǎo)下,謝平博士通過系統(tǒng)和深入地研究水生態(tài)系統(tǒng)中牧食食物鏈的營養(yǎng)關(guān)系及下行(Top down)效應(yīng),成功地揭開了武漢東湖藍(lán)藻水華消失(達(dá)15年之久)之謎,將生態(tài)學(xué)理論與應(yīng)用研究有機結(jié)合,創(chuàng)造性地提出了用濾食性魚類直接控制藍(lán)藻水華的新的“生物操縱”法,榮獲國際湖泊生態(tài)學(xué)的大獎—第9屆日本琵琶湖生態(tài)學(xué)獎。
謝平博士由于在湖泊生態(tài)系統(tǒng)食物鏈研究特別是利用濾食性魚類控制富營養(yǎng)化水體中的藍(lán)藻水華及濾食性魚類對藻類的消化機制的研究中取得了卓越的研究業(yè)績,在十多個國家的侯選人中脫穎而出,榮獲此獎,成為該獎最年輕的獲得者,并被日本主要報刊(中日新聞、朝日新聞、每日新聞、日本經(jīng)濟新聞、產(chǎn)經(jīng)新聞及京都新聞等)及電視新聞所報道,為中國科學(xué)院贏得了國際榮譽。
利用濾食性鰱鳙能有效地遏制富營養(yǎng)水體中的藍(lán)藻水華這一事實成為一種生物調(diào)控藍(lán)藻水華措施(或稱終端調(diào)控技術(shù))的理論基礎(chǔ),是國家科技部和云南省等資助的用生物學(xué)方法控制云南滇池藍(lán)藻水華的大型研究項目的基礎(chǔ),并正在安徽巢湖、江蘇太湖的部分湖區(qū)、云南程海及貴州紅楓湖中進(jìn)行試驗。
